One Bexley Story Slam:
Call for Storytellers
Do you have a story of resilience to tell? One Bexley invites neighbors to step into the spotlight at our second annual Story Slam at the Drexel Theatre. Inspired by the personal story telling style of The Moth Radio Hour, we invite you to share a true, personal story of grit, courage, and humanity—because the most powerful stories come from our community.
Black History Month Banner Program
In partnership with the City of Bexley and One Bexley, Bexley Minority Parent Alliance (BMPA) is celebrating Black History Month in 2026 by honoring African Americans who have made a difference in the community, from our schools and businesses to churches and service organizations.
This educational program, originally launched in 2024, is a tribute to individuals from diverse backgrounds and walks of life, each contributing in their own way to shape Bexley into the special community it is today. From unsung heroes to prominent historical figures, professional athletes and political activists, to current day teachers and coaches—the banners honor those who have made a significant difference in the Bexley community and beyond.
