Environmental Racism & Ecological Justice
Michael Wilkos, Vice President of Community Engagement at the United Way of Central Ohio, facilitates this month’s One Bexley Real Talk conversation on environmental racism and ecological justice in the Columbus region. The discussion will explore how development projects affect communities, who benefits, and the long-term environmental impacts.
Racial Trauma: A Discussion On Real Life Impacts Of Racism
Racism, microaggressions, and societal silence have real life health and wellness implications for people of color. This One Bexley Real Talk community conversation dives into the impacts of racism, what we can do as individuals to mitigate racial trauma, and how we can create a supportive and reparative community where all are welcome.
One Bexley Gathering
This annual community dinner offers a unique opportunity to gather with neighbors for a delicious meal, new connections, and unforgettable conversations centered around the mission of One Bexley. One Bexley Steering Committee Members help guide conversations, while community members volunteer to host tables (helping to provide food or deserts). In past years, this event has been hosted on Drexel Avenue, but in 2026 will be hosted at Schneider Park.
One Bexley Real Talk: How changes to us immigration policy impacts our community
Join us for a presentation and community discussion with immigration attorney Ken Robinson on recent changes to U.S. immigration policies and what they may mean for individuals and families in our community. This session will offer clear, practical guidance to help navigate an increasingly complex immigration landscape.
One Bexley Story Slam
Join One Bexley at the Drexel Theatre for our second annual Story Slam! Inspired by The Moth Radio Hour, neighbors take the mic to share true, personal Stories of Resilience. Come listen, connect, and be reminded of the courage, grit, and humanity that lives in our community - one powerful story at a time.
